Tim Hucker is the director of Northern Beaches Pain Management, a specialist pain
medicine practice. He has specific expertise in the treatment of back and neck pain, nerve pain, cancer- related pain, peripheral limb pain and pelvic pain.

Dr Hucker completed his medical training at the prestigious Guys and St Thomas’s Hospitals, London prior to undertaking specialist anaesthesia training. He further undertook pain specialist training at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney and St George’s Hospital, London. In addition, Dr Hucker completed fellowships in adult and paediatric intensive care medicine and Palliative Care.

In 2011 Dr Hucker became a fellow at the Alfred Hospital, Melbourne. In 2012, he became a Consultant in pain medicine and anaesthesia at the Alfred, the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and the Epworth group Hospitals. Dr Hucker went on to become the lead for pain medicine at the Peter MacCallum and started a specialist private pain practice.

In 2021, Dr Hucker opened Northern Beaches Pain Management. He treats chronic pain
with a range of different options including interventional pain management, in which he is a specialist and adviser to the Faculty of Pain Medicine, Australia.
In addition to clinical practice Dr Hucker, is the chair of the Cancer Council guidelines for pain management, university lecturer and researcher.

 

Dr Hucker is married to another Doctor, runs around after 2 young sons and lives on the Northern Beaches.
