Angus Cameron is a specialist paediatric dentist. He was the first to graduate in NSW as a specialist in paediatric dentistry and has been working at Westmead Hospital for 31 years. He has extensive experience in both public and private sectors and was head of the Department of Paediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics at Westmead for the last 18 years and is a Visiting Senior Specialist at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead.
Angus is currently Clinical Associate Professor and Head of Paediatric Dentistry at the University of Sydney. He is a visiting consultant with Northern Territory Oral Health and has a great passion for remote and rural oral health working with indigenous children. Angus is well-known for the world-wide leading textbook: Handbook of Paediatric Dentistry of which he is co-editor, now in its 4th edition and translated into 8 other languages. He lectures widely throughout Australia and internationally.
Angus Cameron’s main interests are in the management of children with special needs, dental anomalies, paediatric oral medicine, and the management of young children with decay. He also has a particular interest in newborns with feeding difficulties and also runs a clinic specialising in infant feeding and tongue-ties.
